Glaucia has origins in multiple languages, notably Portuguese, Greek and Latin. As the feminine version of Glaucio, Glaucia is understood to mean "bluish grey." In Greek mythology, Glaucia is a daughter of Scamander, the Trojan river god. It is a rare name in the United States and is not frequently used.
