Samantha
Samantha has roots in Aramaic and Hebrew. It is widely considered as the feminine version of the name Samuel and is generally understood to mean "told by God" or "God heard." Although the name has been used since the eighteenth century, it did not reach peak popularity until the 1960s, when the television show Bewitched featured a main character named Samantha.
