Be Careful of Laundry Pods

Be careful of laundry pods when it comes to your littles ones. The colorful pods are often appealing to young children, but are very dangerous when put into their mouth.

  1. I believe Dr. Sara mentioned this on a TV segment recently… It’s becoming more prevalent unfortunately. They do look somewhat like candy!

    1. Yes, they do look like candy! We use the dishwasher pods in our house. I’m assuming they are just as dangerous for kids. I keep them out of reach and generally don’t start the dishwasher until my girls are asleep for the night.

  4. Consumer Reports no longer recommends laundry pods. Turns out in the first six months of 2015 the poison control center has received over 6000 reports of accidental exposure involving children under the age of five. Seems like they are just not worth the risk.http://www.consumerreports.org/cro/magazine/2015/07/the-problem-with-laundry-detergent-pods/index.htm
