Home cooked meals are better for you!

A study in the journal Public Health Nutrition, found that people who eat home cooked meals eat fewer calories each day than those who eat out. In addition, they ate less carbohydrates, sugars and fats than those who dined out. Bundoo knows how busy you are so here are a few ideas of how to make easy, child friendly meals at home!

  1. We try to cook at least 3 nights of the week in our house. We make enough to have leftovers the next day. So we get to eat that one meal for 2 nights. It works very well for us and still leaves one night open for eating out.

    1. That’s the key I think – doubling recipes for leftovers, or freezing ahead of time. I couldn’t imagine doing it any other way!

  2. I grew with a mom who cooked every night despite working full time, and I try my best to do the same. We do the occasionally take our if I’m too tired or busy. It does make a big difference with your health,
