According to this study, it’s simple! Just have them have recess BEFORE lunch, and then – voila – they will eat 54% more fruits and veggies!
Makes sense – kids need to be more hungry to be “convinced” to try something new or maybe something they’d skip if they were already more full. I think this would be great for all schools to do. At home, be sure to get your little ones time outside or being active before mealtimes to encourage them to eat the good stuff off their plates!
