Napkin Notes

Napkin Notes

This story reminds us all not to take a single day with our children for granted. Something so simple can help us continue to strengthen our relationship with them and brighten their day. Beautiful story and message so I thought I’d share. 🙂

  1. We talked about this on my radio show this morning, and it made me tear up!! Especially the note about looking for a miracle and realizing he had created one. TEARS!

  2. So moving! And his point about this not being about cancer because any of us could die at any point is well-taken. I’m off to write some napkins.

  3. It is an awesome story!! I can tell you that when those kids see the notes in their lunchbox, they literally pass it around the entire table showing all of their friends. They love it! 🙂

    1. I always wonder what happens when they see them! I used to draw pictures for my daughter everyday, but she would rarely say anything about it by pickup time.

  4. What a sweet heartbreaking story. I love that the napkins are simple messages. My son loves it when I put a note in his lunchbox. I can only imagine how bittersweet these will be for his daughter.

  5. PS: This is what Dr. Becky Bailey would call an “I Love You Ritual”. Check out her book for some amazing ideas for how to connect with your kids through sweet daily rituals.
