Potty training for the second, third…child.
Have you found that potty training the second or third (or more) time around gets easier? Or it is more challenging to be consistent because you now have older children and multiple routines to manage?
Following. And hoping to hear it gets easier, haha. Our son turns 4 in December and he just potty trained. We didn’t do much “training” though, kind of waited for him to just take his underwear and say he was ready!
I do not know about my third one yet, but my second child was not easy at all. He was almost four until he finally stopped doing #2 in his underwear ( he didn’t like the potty at all). I really have my fingers crossed that my youngest is nothing like him.
I’m hoping my 3rd is easy peasy!
I found the 2nd one to be more challenging. My 3.5 year old is finally potty trained (has been for a couple of months) whereas his older brother was completely potty trained by 2.5 I think it’s mostly my fault – I didn’t push it has much the second time around and definitely had the mindset that “well, he won’t go to college in a diaper…” haha.
Becca, your “mindset” cracked me up. I have that mindset right now about my daughter sneaking in the bed with us in the middle of the night. 🙂
