Severe depression and anxiety during pregnancy
I’m having two or three panic attacks a day and I’m so depressed I can’t get out of bed. Will this go on all 9 months? Right now I’m three months pregnant with twins and I had depression and anxiety my whole life but never this bad. Please help
Hi Katie, I am so sorry you are going through this! I don’t know your whole history, but I feel pretty confident in saying that this WILL continue for the rest of your pregnancy if you don’t get the treatment you so desperately need. I recommend calling your doctor or midwife ASAP to let them know you are struggling. Treatment can mean therapy, medication, or a combination of both. We know that moms who are depressed/anxious in pregnancy who aren’t treated for it actually have more complications in their pregnancies, but with the right therapy you can get back on track and feel better – both for you AND your babies! Here’s some more info that can be very helpful for you: https://www.bundoo.com/articles/what-is-antenatal-depression/
Good luck!
Sending prayers your way, Katie.
