Traveling Tool Kit

The only thing that makes traveling with a toddler a cinch is planning ahead. I’ve found that keeping a supply of small toys, and passing them out one at a time works for us. I usually include a dry erase board, color wonder books, small figurine toys (like Toobs!) and books. What helps you survive?

  1. Things I wouldn’t necessarily always let my daughter have at home get a pass when traveling. A portable DVD player with lots of Barney is a necessity, as well as food food food. Whereas at home I just give her healthy snacks at certain times of day, when traveling I will load her up with snacks anytime. It’s always good to have a special treat to use as leverage. Whatever it takes to keep her from having a fit on an airplane!

    1. Great point. We definitely go over our screen time limit on a road trip!
