There’s no need to be strict about how much water your little one consumes. I would recommend offering your child milk from a cup at each meal, and water in between. As long as your child has free access to water, she will drink all that she needs to stay hydrated. If you notice that her urine is darker or smells stronger than usual, these may be signs that she needs a little more fluids each day.
Thank you! My son does drink milk with 3 meals a day and has water available throughout the day. I do have to remind him to drink his water, though. There have been a few days where he has been playing so hard that he didn’t drink as much as usual. He did have darker urine those days, so I’ve been more mindful of reminding him to take a sip every once in a while!
