What to feed a picky eater?

My oldest is a very picky eater. He eats healthy, but he is unwilling to give new foods a try. I try to make food fun but find that if it is not one of his staple foods, he doesn’t really give it a try. I have bought books, tried different “kid friendly” recipes and such, but I am having the hardest time getting my oldest to eat what we eat. My dream is to get my entire family to eat the ONE meal I prepared for dinner without having to suppliment. So… What do you feed a picky eater?

  1. Laura, I love this topic! Picky eaters are so common and our nutritionist Jill Castle just did a Bundoo interview about this very issue on our home page today. Honestly, it sounds like you are doing all the right things: continuing his exposure, trying new ways of offering foods and making food fun. It can take A LONG TIME for some kids to come around. I applaud you for not giving up!

  2. I find that peer pressure works! My daughter is much more willing to try new things when we have dinner company that includes a small (and much-loved) friend of hers.
