Work or no work?

I was able to stay home with my oldest for one year but, then the next 5 years I was mostly gone working. Now that I have number two I realize how important it is that I am there for them. I regret missing so much of my first sons life but, my not working could put a serious financial strain on our family. I am optimistic though because I’ve got a home-based business that is going very well. I am curious about other mothers opinions on the matter? I know it can be a hot debate, and it is definitely not my intention to downplay anyone’s decision. Staying home with the kids also means being in charge of the dishes and laundry. Sometimes I feel like my talents, knowledge, and skills are going unused. But I recently read a nice article about our children and how important a mother is to them! That made me feel better. And I do feel like I am living a life of purpose. I think that it could be one of the problems with our society these days that our kids don’t have two parents and sometimes they don’t get to see the one that they have. Everyone is running so fast, trying to just get by or get ahead. Some may say “it is what it is”, or “we are doing the best we can.” I know that is the truth in many cases, but I believe we need to start talking about other options. There is a way to have both financial security and time with your children! I have found it and I can help you too
