  1. Yes! They are just as good. I tell my patients this all the time – Pregnancy tests are expensive and especially for infertility patients who are testing frequently, the dollar store can be a lifesaver!

    1. That’s really interesting. I wish I had known that! The prices differences are huge depending on brands. I always bought the one that said ‘pregnant’ or ‘not pregnant’. I guess there was no room for error with that compared to the lines that were sometimes hard to see.

    2. Interesting! I am somewhat suspicious of buying health products from dollar stores, so this is reassuring.

  2. My sister would always get her pregnancy test from the Dollar Store…and they were always accurate. The funny thing is, after they would come back positive she would rush to Walgreens to get a name brand just to be sure- lol!

    2. I would probably do the same thing with a positive result! But I also took 4 or 5 tests with my first pregnancy to make extra sure! I could have saved a lot of money with the dollar store tests! 😉

  3. Meh, I’m all for Dollar Store pregnancy tests! Kind of like generic prescription drugs, it’s made of the same stuff, isn’t it??
