When a baby meets twins and #jammietime: the best in parenting this week
Adorably confused babies, babies with mustaches, and moms who just. need. coffee. to survive. I just love it when the Internet is full of gems.
1. A Mom’s Parody to Taylor Swift’s “Blank Space”
Ever feel so exhausted that you just have to do something to survive? Silly question. Of course you do! If that desperate feeling involves a coffee fix, this one’s for you.
2. Adorably confused baby meets twins
There’s two of them!? This baby’s face is priceless!
3. What happens when my wife leaves me alone with our baby
It doesn’t appear that this baby was bothered at all by his dad’s antics. Just another day in the life.
4. 19 kids’ letters to Santa that did not screw around
Ah, the things kids say. Yes, Leonardo DiCaprio would be nice wrapped under the tree… (Kidding, honey!) These letters are hilarious (although I am a bit worried about the kid who wrote #10).
5. Chris Pratt on his son’s premature birth
“I made promises in that moment about what kind of dad I wanted to be and I just prayed that he’d live long enough that I could keep them.” Chris Pratt shares his story about his preemie son (with Anna Faris). Preemie and NICU parents will be able to best identify with his reflection, but we’re all gushing.
6. To the young woman who noticed us when I hoped no one would
Beautiful story and a great reminder of how even on the days when we don’t have it together, our kids are a mess and family morale is at an all-time low, we’re still just doing our best and that’s pretty spectacular.
7. #JAMMIETIME
The makers of #XmasJammies are back with a year-end recap. Highlights? Mom’s Crossfit experience and “I need winneeeee.”
8. Pregnant moms in Joe Boxer
Joe Boxer is known for their Christmas commercials. Normally they feature scantily clad men, but we like this ode to pregnant mamas even better.
9. Convos with my 4-year-old: “Swimming”
Swim lessons are so much easier with babies and young toddlers! This video captures the drama of preschooler swim lessons perfectly (at least for those of us whose kids took a little longer to “swim like fish”).
10. Amy Poehler’s kids embarrass her, too
Do your kids do things that you swear aren’t a reflection of your parenting? It happens to the best of us (even Amy Poehler).
