Three awesome parenting products from the New York Baby Show
Dr. Sara and I spent a whirlwind weekend with the Bundoo team in the Big Apple at the New York Baby Show. We met some incredible expecting and new parents, shared our excitement about Bundoo, and even entered many parents for some spectacular giveaways. But perhaps one of my favorite moments at the New York Baby Show was the few minutes I stole to sneak away from our booth and check out some of the incredible new products available to expecting parents. Here are a few of my favorite finds:
The Beebo. Have you heard of this incredible product yet? It is sure to be a lifesaver for busy parents who find themselves without a free hand while they are bottle-feeding their baby. The Beebo is a hands-free bottle positioner, allowing the user to hold the baby with one hand and have a free hand to read the baby a book, answer a few emails, or eat dinner. Because when you think about it, a parent can spend at least 2-3 hours of their day feeding their baby! A multi-tasker’s dream for sure.
The Newton mattress. Dr. Sara and I fell in love with this mattress from the moment we saw it. Made of a polymer that is free of toxic materials, this mattress is made of breathable, washable material—the rep assured me you could even throw it in your bathtub or shower to hose it off and it would dry in a couple of hours! The inner core is 90 percent air, allowing the air to freely circulate through the entire mattress. If only it came in a queen instead of just a crib size…
The Nested Bean sleep sack. These sleep sacks caught my eye the minute I walked by the booth. The fabric is well made and the patterns are beautiful! But what makes the Nested Bean sleep sack unique is the weighted polymers inside a small pouch positioned over the baby’s chest. In theory, the weight mimics a parent’s touch, soothing the baby to sleep more easily. The designer is hoping to test this theory in hospitals around the country in order to back these theories with scientific research. But research or not, any sleep deprived parent up all night with a baby is willing to try the latest product to help their baby sleep!
These are just a few of the unique new baby products on the market today. My little guy is only 6, but I cannot believe how many new and innovative things have been designed in the short amount of time since he was an infant!
