About 300 calories more a day.
The saying about “eating for two” while pregnant just isn’t true – you really only need about 300 more calories a day than when you aren’t pregnant. To put it in perspective, that is about how much a glass of milk and half a peanut butter sandwich is. Those additional calories should come from nutritious food sources, so try to keep this in mind when making your menus!
