You should avoid several foods during baby’s first year of life.
You should avoid honey or corn syrup due to the potential contamination with botulism spores. You shouldn't use cow’s milk; however, baked products with milk and yogurt are fine at 10 months. If cow’s milk is given before 9 months, there is an increased risk for iron deficiency and intestinal bleeding. Raw fish—like sushi— should not be part of your baby’s diet. Make sure any fish offered is thoroughly cooked.
