Can I predict the gender of my baby?

Sadly, despite all the old wives’ tales, none of them are accurate!

You’ve probably heard a bunch of them: based on your baby’s heartbeat, how you carry, which way a ring spins, or by looking at a Chinese gender chart you’ll be able to figure out if you’ve got a little girl or boy onboard.

Unfortunately, none of these have any scientific basis and are about as accurate as flipping a coin. The only ways to know for sure are from (doctor-ordered!) blood tests or ultrasounds. It’s still fun to guess, but don’t pick the nursery colors based on any of these other methods.

  1. I wish they were accurate, the suspense is killing me! 😉 We still have a couple weeks before we find out the gender.
