Should I put my toddler on a feeding schedule?

Yes, you should start to transition your toddler over to a regular feeding schedule after the first year of life.

Meals and snacks, whether they consist of food or a cup of milk, should be scheduled every two to three hours. A regular location for meals and snacks, such as in the kitchen and in a highchair, should be part of the routine. A routine schedule helps your toddler anticipate food, stay in touch with his or her appetite, and receive the variety of nutrition he or she needs throughout the day.
