Can my toddler drink almond milk?

Yes, of course your toddler can drink almond milk. However, almond milk is a poor source of protein, fat, and calories for a young toddler.

Research has documented poor growth and malnutrition in young children receiving inadequate protein and calories. If your toddler drinks almond milk because of allergies to milk and soy or is following a vegan diet, it’s important to round out his or her diet with other protein-based foods and adequate fat intake so that normal growth is maintained.
