What is toddler formula?

Toddler formula is designed to provide the nutrients (especially calcium and phosphorus) toddlers need at their unique stage of development.

Containing many of the same nutrients as infant formula, the levels of calcium and phosphorus in toddler formula mimic the levels you would find in cow’s milk. Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), an important omega-3 fatty acid for your toddler’s brain development, is also present. Most toddlers who eat a variety of solid foods after the first year will not need a toddler formula; however, if your toddler is just getting started, a toddler formula may provide a safety net of nutrients while moving through this feeding stage.
