If you’re afraid of intercourse, get creative! There are lots of other ways to express intimacy that don’t involve intercourse.

Fear is definitely a factor when it comes to sex after giving birth. New moms are often scared that sex may cause more pain than it did before the baby, and for good reason. The body has just gone through a major change and needs time to heal. Just give it some time to bounce back and remember there are other ways to satisfy yourself and your spouse if intercourse needs an intermission.
