It’s the final countdown! You’re entering your final month of pregnancy. Around this time, you’re up about 27 pounds and chances are you won’t gain much more than that as your pregnancy winds down.
You may start to believe every twinge and ache is a sign of labor. You may even start to experience Braxton Hicks contractions, which means you’re not in true labor.

Can I please get a response to my question if I could still be pregnant and it’s also been 4 months without a period and light spotting a couple times
You waited 5 minutes until your next post… If he did a pee test and it came back negative you’re not pregnant. Also if you’ve taken home tests and they came back negative I would ask my doctor to look into why I have not had a menstrual cycle in four months, actually, I would demand it.
I went and seen a doctor who is an old man and gone 4 months without a period and my stomach is big and swollen and light spotting a couple times and cramping and lower back hurts, but yet he did a blood test and urine test and negative, can I still be pregnant
Hi! My daughter was 20 days away from her due date she went to bed Thursday and could feel the baby moving woke up Friday and she hadn’t felt her moving which was odd. She called her dr she told her to drink oj and wait a couple hours which I thought was crazy! Long story short my granddaughter was gone they could not find a heart beat . My daughter had to be forced into labor and deliver the baby which was stillborn the cord was twisted so tight in three separate areas on the cord to the point no oxygen or blood could get the cord! Like a “true knot” ! I am dumb found over this because I have had five kids and know a lot of woman who have had babies. I have never heard of this then when I researched I was shocked how many complications can happen with the cord! Why don’t the dr warn you to keep track of movements towards the end of pregnancy cause it could play an important role in avoiding this tragedy. I told my daughter she should be a voice and get the laws changed that the cord be checked more often and to have dr talk about this risk more and give more warnings and signs to look for ! We buried our sweet Presleigh about 2 weeks ago ! Heat broke for my daughter she was so excited about being a mommy ????
Hi Stacey, I am so, so sorry this happened to you and your daughter. Doctors and midwives are definitely aware of this which is why we advice women to do fetal kick counts starting at about 28 weeks, which it sounds like what your daughter was told to do when she called. Unfortunately, we cannot predict or prevent all of these tragedies, which is so utterly heartbreaking. I am so, so sorry for your loss.
Hi I’ve had a cerclage done at 17 weeks and I’m now 28 weeks and I have alot of discomfort down there and I can feel my stitches. Is that normal
Hi Stephanie, a little discomfort can be normal but if it is new, constant, or you feel any pressure, contractions, or have any spotting associated with it you should let your doctor know right away as that can be a sign of preterm labor.
I just found out 2 days ago from a home pregnancy test that I’m pregnant… I was 7 days late on my period. And currently I’m in the ER due to cramps and bleeding that started last night. I’m so scared and worried. Is this normal? what could be going on? The doctor came in and said my hg levels was low but he said that could just mean I’m not as far long as I think. But the first day of my last period was nov 12th and today is Dec 25th. So it should be about 6 weeks at this point so I don’t know and just confused. I just want my baby to be fine. They just did an ultrasound just waiting on my results. Pray for me.
Hi Tiera, I am so sorry you are having this scary complication. I am glad you are in the emergency room and getting care, and hopefully you got the answers you needed. It sounds like they are looking at everything, between monitoring you, your hcg levels, and your ultrasound. Sending good vibes!
I’m just curious about what a cryptic pregnancy is!!!!!I believe I’m pregnant,but my Dr. say’s I’m not!!!Any recommendations?
Hi Elizabeth, We don’t have any info on cryptic pregnancies but this article on pseudocyesis may be helpful. I’d recommend following up with your doctor to be sure you are getting the care you need so you understand what is going on! http://www.bundoo.com/articles/pseudocyesis-when-you-believe-youre-pregnant-and-youre-not/
Hello i am 26 weeks an 3days . i think i have sciatica but could it be something more? I have trouble when i bend and walking ispainful the pian is in my hips and pelvic area and my buttocks its a shooting pain everyday i struggle. This ismy third pregnacy my 2nd one was a contant back pain this is completely different .
Hi Tiffany, have you gone to see your doc or midwife about this? It could certainly be sciatica or something called symphisis pubic dysfunction (you can read more about that here: https://www.bundoo.com/articles/spd-in-pregnancy/). Other things that can cause pain are here as well: http://www.bundoo.com/articles/top-10-causes-of-pain-in-pregnancy/
If you are still uncomfortable, I would definitely make a visit to discuss it, so you can be sure nothing is seriously wrong and get some ideas on how to feel better. Good luck!
Hi I’m Carol my daughter is on her third (first full term pregnancy). I’m a bit scared for her at this point in her pregnancy because in 2009 she went all the way and we ended up losing the baby due to asphyxiation of the umbilical cord. I spoke to her yesterday and she is a bit scared but I had to remind her that she is in the best hands right now. She had 5 of the best top Dr’s in our city that deals with high risk pregnancies. She sneezes they know about it. They monitor so much she doesnt even need an appointment anymore she just goes in for her 3 days a week check in.
Hi Carol, I am so glad your daughter is doing well. How did everything turn out?
Hi. Iam 38weeks and one day n I have a lot pain down there and both areas it hurt so bad this my second one…
Yes, the second (and third and fourth…) can often be more uncomfortable than first pregnancies given the lack of rest moms usually get, as well as muscles and ligaments being stretched more. Good luck! If it gets really bad, definitely check in with your doctor or midwife to make sure it’s not more than the normal aches and pains.
I am feeling so much pressure in my vaginal area and rectum(tail bone) 4th pregnancy 3 children and I didn’t experience this with the other 3!!!!! When I sit for periods of time and ten stand up it is the worst pressure!!!! I’m only 25 weeks!!!!! Is this signs of early labor coming my way??
Hi Tarea, I would definitely check in with your doctor or midwife about your symptoms, as they could be signs of preterm labor. Hopefully it isn’t and it is just related to this being pregnancy #4, but you can’t be too careful – give them a call!
Im 25 weeks pregnant n i hurt n heart burn and tired all the time
Yes, those can all be common symptoms that are super annoying – have you brought them up to your doctor or midwife? They can definitely recommend some things to help!
When you see the development of a baby, its just more proof there is a God!!! Thanks for sharing the delights of a pregnancy when I was pregnant I felt loved by God my husband and baby!!!! And there is nothing in the world like a pregnancy glow!!! I feel life begins not only by conception but the ggs and sperm eggs are all alive as well!!!
Hi,I was pregnant for 17 weeks,
Then I gave birth to twins boy and girl,
That was May 8 1987″
I miscarriage my twins,
I was glad my husband was with me,
I hardly remembet also does my husband,
It’s true that someone can block that sad day,?
But my husband and I knew we did,
Some people think we were making our. Birth up,When We told them how bad are death of our birth,I told my husband we know we had twins,They wasn’t there,it’s true that can happen?
as a husband with two children, I understand your pain as we lost a son. We viewed him as a person, and mourned his lose and still do. I think society does not feel the same way about this and that’s wrong. I encourage you to talk about your children with others there are many that have lost children as well. We should mourn all lose of live, as this is naturel.
I think Darick’s advice is spot on. So sorry to hear of your losses Denise and Darick, and I hope you both find the kind of support you are looking for!
