Baby development: Your 7 month old

Learning to play

Play is more than just fun for your baby.

Play is the driving force behind much of your baby’s development at this age – he or she is learning social, cognitive, emotional, and physical skills. While play comes naturally in some ways, engaging your baby in guided play to expose him or her to new experiences and objects will help the development process. During these play times, repetition will be key, since it is the best way for your baby to learn new things.
