
Rachel Shnider, MD, FAAP, is a board-certified pediatrician practicing outpatient general pediatrics in Washington, DC. In her practice, Dr. Shnider cares for patients ages 0 through 20 years of age and is also involved in medical education and the teaching and supervision of pediatric residents and medical students. Dr. Shnider completed her undergraduate education at Tufts University in Medford, MA, and then went on to complete a post-baccalaureate program at Goucher College in Towson, MD. She attended medical school at the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences in Washington, DC and completed her pediatric residency at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, DC. Dr. Shnider has also spent some time practicing medicine in Tanzania.
In her practice, Dr. Shnider enjoys educating families and supporting them through the unique triumphs and challenges of infancy and toddlerhood, including breastfeeding, development, sleep, safety and nutrition. She really enjoys forming relationships with families and watching their children grow over time. When she is not in the office, Dr. Shnider can be found running around with her family in her “mommy” role.
