Raquel L. Anderson, EdD, LMHC, NCC, has 14 years of experience as a mental health provider in institutional and private practice. Since 2003, she has worked as a co-located psychotherapist in a pediatrician’s office. She holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree from Florida State University and Florida Atlantic University and a doctorate from Argosy University, Sarasota. Her doctoral dissertation focused on the integration of mental health and primary care. Raquel firmly believes that an individual’s mental health and physical health interacts with and impacts each other. Because of this, she works closely with pediatricians to treat the whole person from birth forward, dealing with behavioral, emotional, and mental health issues.
Additionally, she is an advisory board member for the Mental Health Association of Palm Beach County for their Be Merge initiative. This is a countywide initiative to integrate mental health and primary care providers by offering training and technical and clinical support to primary care and mental health providers. Raquel was also a contributing author to Raising Boys with ADHD. She has extensive experience in pediatrics and family counseling, having worked in both community mental health settings and having a private practice of her own.
